I’ve always struggled with my large arms. But why should I? They’re warm, soft, and womanly. Now, I think they make me look grown up. I’m proud to love this genetic trait that so many of my female family members let keep them from wearing short-sleeved shirts in the summertime. That line of shame stops here.

I just had to reblog this because my arms have ALWAYS been a source of conflict in my journey to owning every bit of my body and I totally feel you on this, especially as summer is arriving.
Last summer I went to Paris and let my fat arms fly. It was fabulous.

It took me a super long time to get to this point. Just a few years ago, I would have been drowning in sweat, donning a cardigan in the hot sun. Fuck that noise.
I have always had wide shoulders, husky, thick, strong arms - swimmers arms - arms that mirror that of my family members. There was a time they were a bit more sculpted by sprints and swim drills, but they have always been unyieldingly THICK. Love them.

I did the same thing with my scars; covering them up and feeling SO awkward when they were revealed.  NO MORE, baby!  They’re part of my roadmap.  It’s me: scars, birth marks, freckles, moles, flesh, blood, perfect.

Honoured and Joyful!

I just recently started sharing this blog with my friends and loved ones.  Recently as in, yesterday.  I am so honoured by the support and appreciation I have received from them.  One very good friend’s words, especially, bring me such JOY, considering her life’s challenges and her relationship with her body, in the past.  Today, she very excitedly contacted me to say:

“I read your blog last night and my world has changed!!!!
THANK YOU!!!!!!!
I read nearly half of your blog, including the article you linked to about the school teacher facing gender
That and all of the pictures of penises and yonis and my inside workings have finally shifted! The fluidity INDEED!
I am in a space of body CELEBRATION!”

This is part of what I mean when I say that body love and acceptance is my path.  I am here to support anyone/everyone in their journey to loving and accepting themselves, mind, body and spirit!

Thank you, my lovely friend.  I am so honoured by your love.

Anonymous asked: Don't take this the wrong way but I love your pubic hair! It's so beautiful! My muff is pretty cute too but the red is so lovely! Do you prefer hairy girls or shaved? Not that it matters. I've always liked a bit of fuzz but a bit of smooth on myself.

I think I enjoy both.  I do like smooth skin… and full-on wild muffs are great, too!  Elegantly trimmed hair is also really attractive, though.  Here I go again, just loving it all!!!
My body grows a lot of hair and I like to shave just a bit on my outer lips.  Shaving it all gets uncomfortable but a bit feels good.
And thank you for loving my pubic hair.  I love it, too.  It IS beautiful.
